Job summary

Element Medical Imaging in Overland Park, KS is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist to perform general radiographic procedures, including fluoroscopy, and assist radiologists with imaging needs.

You will prepare patients, ensure image quality, adhere to ACR guidelines, and maintain equipment and records. The role emphasizes patient care, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced imaging department.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • ARRT Registration at hire or within 6 months of hire date.
  • Advanced Mammography registry preferred but not required.
  • Kansas State Licensure as applicable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Performs x-ray and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Operates imaging equipment and plans actions based on patient condition and diagnosis.
  • Prepares room with sterile trays, protective equipment, and devices per protocol.
  • Prepares patients for procedures and explains the process.
  • Evaluates images for technical quality and ensures accreditation guidelines.
  • Maintains records and performs daily QA for equipment as assigned.
  • Assists radiologist with specialized fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Upholds confidentiality and maintains professional demeanor with patients and staff.

Summary Of Qualifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program

Position Responsibilities
  • Performs x-ray and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Operates imaging equipment to successfully perform procedures, and devise a plan of action that considers patient condition and diagnosis
  • Prepares room for procedures including sterile trays, protective equipment, and devices used per protocol
  • Prepares patients for procedures, including screening, providing instructions to obtain desired results, and explain the procedure to the patient.
  • Evaluates images for technical quality
  • Ensures ACR Guidelines for accreditation
  • Maintains records and perform daily QA for equipment as assigned
  • Correlates patient’s accurate clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for use by Radiologist.
  • Assists with assigned departmental tasks necessary for day to day operations
  • Assists radiologist with specialized fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Follows established company policies in regard to attendance, appearance and service
  • Maintain confidentiality of facility and patient information in accordance to company policy
  • Uphold the positive reputation of our medical office by always treating visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner

PHYSICAL RESOURCES: Position patients and equipment to produce appropriate scans. Ability to lift 25 lbs is required. Requires hand dexterity for computer and equipment operation. Requires standing for long periods of time.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Indoor, climate-controlled environment.

MACHINES/EQUIPMENT USED: Medical Equipment, personal computer, printer, multi-line phone, fax machine and copier.
