Job Title: Radiologic Technologist/Medical Assistant – Full-Time
General Summary:
Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is expanding its clinical team and is seeking a motivated and skilled full-time Radiologic Technologist/Medical Assistant. This position primarily involves X-Ray and Fluoroscopic imaging to assist in diagnosing injuries, while also offering the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with low-field MRI. This is an excellent chance to grow in a dynamic clinical setting! (XR license required; MRI training will be provided).
Schedule:
Full-time position
Saturday work required, plus four weekdays (schedule to be determined)
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional, personalized care that enhances the patient experience at Genesis.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including extremity MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray, and Fluoroscopy.
Room patients, collect vital signs, and accurately document information in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Assist with a variety of clinical tasks, such as injection preparation, wound care, DME application, and pre/post-operative care.
Relay physician or PA instructions to patients regarding their treatment plans and follow-up care.
Handle triage calls and manage patient inquiries efficiently.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Enjoys interacting with patients and is proactive in improving workflows and processes.
Demonstrates strong attention to detail and compassion in patient care.
Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Radiologic Technology.
Certifications: ARRT Certification (must obtain within 6 months of hire) and Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety licensure are required.
Experience: Previous experience as an X-ray technician is required. Familiarity with medical assistant responsibilities is a plus.
Orthopedic Experience: Beneficial, but not mandatory.
MRI Experience: A plus, but training will be provided for qualified candidates.
EMR Experience: Experience with Epic is a plus, though not required.
Languages: English required, Spanish preferred.
