Job Title:

Radiologic Technologist

Reports To:

Diagnostic Imaging Manager

General Summary Of Duties

Under the supervision of the Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor and/or Lead technologist, perform X-Ray examination procedures requested by UOI providers. Contribute to the patient's positive interaction within the office. Must possess excellent people skills and be flexible to cover additional locations or shifts as needed.

Essential Job Functions

1. Ensure equipment functions properly and report malfunctions.
2. Identify and prepare patients for radiologic procedures, following safety protocols.
3. Select correct patient, anatomy, and protocols for exams.
4. Schedule, confirm, and log completed procedures.
5. Maintain cleanliness and readiness of equipment and rooms.
6. Stock necessary supplies.
7. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

• Two years of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT registration or pending registration.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Knowledge of basic x-ray procedures, anatomy, physiology, and safety.
• Basic computer skills relevant to radiology procedures.
• Effective communication skills with diverse patient populations.
• Ability to establish effective relationships with staff, providers, and patients.
• One year of healthcare customer service experience preferred.
• Orthopedic clinical experience is a plus.
• Must be able to travel to all sites as needed.
