Job summary

Jobtailor in Boston, MA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform X-ray imaging and ensure patient safety throughout exams.

Responsibilities

• Archive films/CDs and forward data to Radiologist after exams.
• Assist clerical staff and maintain equipment and rooms.
• Provide contrast administration as required.

Job description

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding
• Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam
• Perform x-rays in accordance to center’s protocol
• Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam
• Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate
• Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed
• Contrast administration

Requirements

• Must be certified in CPR
• Must be MA State licensed
• A minimum of 3 months of prior xray experience is required
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required
• Must be able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
• Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
