Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an X-ray Technician - Medical Assistant to support providers and nursing staff. You will take vital signs, review patient history, assist with lab specimens and EKGs, prep exam rooms and maintain clean, stocked spaces.

You may check patients in and out and help with front desk tasks to ensure smooth operations. Required: LMRT license in the state of residency, graduate of an accredited Radiologic Services program, BLS within 30 days of start, and 1+ year of

Qualifications

• High School diploma required as per state regulations.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Services program is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) is preferred.
• LMRT license in the state of residency is required.
• 1+ year of clinical patient-care experience is beneficial.
• Ability to obtain BLS certification within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol and Federal Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical duties supporting providers and Nursing staff including vital signs, patient history, lab specimens and EKGs; prepares exam rooms and maintains cleanliness.
• Check patients in and out of the computer and assist the Patient Representative with front desk duties.
• Assist with front desk tasks: greeting patients, check-in/out, End of Day close, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
• Maintain records and logs for inhouse lab work, drug screens and out-sourced lab results.
• Conduct equipment and supply audits as scheduled.
• Collaborate with Center Manager, Medical Staff and clinic team to ensure smooth operations and high patient satisfaction.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an X-ray Tech, you will:

• Performs various clinical duties in support of providers and Nursing staff including but limited to taking vital signs, patient history, lab specimens and EKGs. May apply splints, dressings and bandages as directed. Prepares, maintains and cleans exam rooms.




• Will check patients in and out of the computer and may assist the Patient Representative in the performance of front desk duties.




• Will assist with front desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out of computer, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.




• Maintains records and logs on activities including inhouse lab work, drug screens and lab work sent out to other labs.




• Performs equipment and supply audits as scheduled.




• Works closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.

You Should Have:

• High School graduate as required by the state.




• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required.




• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is preferred.




• Limited Medical Radiology Technologist (LMRT) license in state of residency




• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is beneficial




• Ability to obtain a BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start




• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion
