Job summary

CareNow urgent care in Houston is seeking a Limited Medical Radiology Technician (LMRT) to provide expert radiology services and patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. You will perform radiology procedures, ensure quality control, and assist with in-house lab work to support physicians.

Applicants should have an LMRT license in Texas, graduated from an accredited Radiological Sciences program, and at least 1 year of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of Radiological Sciences.
• LMRT - Limited Medical Radiology Technician license in Texas.
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is beneficial.
• Ability to obtain a BLS Certification within 30 days of start.
• Office Laboratory Assistant License if required by the state.
• Demonstrated excellence in customer service and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely and quality radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
• Perform quality control checks/audits on radiologic equipment.
• Perform drug screens, urinalysis and other in-house lab tests including processing specimens for reference laboratories.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and x-rays sent out to other labs.
• Work closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
• Ensure occupational client’s preference card is followed and occupational procedures are adhered to.
• Is cross trained for front desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out on computer, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
• You may be required to work alternate shifts and may be required to float to other clinic locations.
• Assist with general patient care when needed.
