Job summary

AdventHealth in Leesburg, FL seeks a Radiologic Technologist to prepare patients for radiologic procedures and operate X-ray equipment. You will follow established safety protocols and ensure timely delivery of images to physicians.

The role requires BLS and BMO certifications, an Associate degree preferred, and a willingness to float between FHMG practices. Day shift with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to float to other FHMG practices within reason.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate in English effectively to carry out job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and protects from radiation hazards.
• Operates radiographic equipment to take x-rays as directed by physician.
• Selects proper ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis.
• Adjusts radiographic controls and positions patients for imaging.
• Processes film and ensures image clarity; maintains film files.
• Ensures reports/films available to physician promptly.
• Maintains records including patient logs and reports.
• Performs quality control checks for x-ray unit compliance.
• Adheres to safety standards and maintains clean radiology spaces.
• Stocks supplies and rotates film stock.
• Verifies charges on x-ray/ procedures; ensures equipment compliance with regulations.
• Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
