Job summary

A leading medical imaging center is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technician to perform imaging and treatment procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position requires a graduate from an accredited radiography school and appropriate state licensing. The technician will operate various imaging devices, maintain all equipment, and must be comfortable working in an operating room environment. This role offers a structured shift schedule and requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience as X-Ray Technician.
• Current knowledge of trends in healthcare informatics.
• Comfortable working in the operating room and proficient in operating a C-arm.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate imaging and treatment processes per guidelines.
• Maintain equipment and assess patient comfort during procedures.
• Monitor need for procedure revisions and coordinate imaging schedules.

Perform and provide appropriate imaging and treatment processes in accordance with state, federal and professional guidelines

Maintain all equipment for procedures, assess safety, procedure, physical and physiological comfort of patient

Monitor need for procedure revisions, coordinate daily imaging procedure, etc

Other duties as Assigned

Skills

1-3 years’ experience as X-Ray Technician

Demonstrate knowledge of a variety of imaging equipment including setup, utilization, troubleshooting and proper care of all equipment

Current knowledge of trends and advances in clinical practice and healthcare informatics, as well as new developments and innovations in hardware and software technology

Demonstrated initiative, problem identification, resolution and analytical skills are essential as well as excellent oral and written communication skills

Education

Graduate of Accredited Radiography School

NJ State RT License

ARRT

BLS Certified

All applicants must be comfortable working in the operating room and proficient in operating a C-arm

Shift 1: 7:30am-3:30pm Monday - Friday every other weekend including call

Shift 2: 10am-6pm Monday - Friday every other weekend including call.
