Job summary

Montefiore Health System seeks a full-time Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic examinations and diagnostic imaging. The ideal candidate will be certified by the ARRT, hold a NY State X-Ray Tech license, and have knowledge of imaging equipment. This role includes evening shifts and alternate weekend work.

Qualifications

• Certified by the ARRT.
• Valid X-Ray Tech license issued by the State of New York.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic examinations and diagnostic imaging at a technical level.
• Uses prescribed ionizing radiation for imaging diagnosis.
• Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as needed.

Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completing one (1) year of service in their current position. Exceptions include: associates who have received a written warning are ineligible for transfer or promotion for six (6) months from the warning date; associates suspended are ineligible for one (1) year from suspension. Part-time associates who have completed their probationary period may move to full-time positions within their department, provided it does not unreasonably impact operational efficiency. The probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees and four (4) months for part-time employees working more than 3/5 of a standard workweek.

Under the supervision of the chief technologist or designee, performs radiographic examinations and diagnostic imaging at a technical level requiring independent judgment and initiative. Uses prescribed ionizing radiation for imaging diagnosis and assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as needed.

This is a full-time position with alternate weekends. Weekend hours vary based on departmental needs.

Education and Requirements:

• Satisfactory completion of a formal two-year Radiologic Technology training program.
• Certified by the ARRT.
• Valid X-Ray Tech license issued by the State of New York.
• Knowledge of radiographic exposure equipment and Epic tracking system.
