Job summary

CareNow urgent care, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a qualified X-Ray Technician in Texas to perform radiology procedures and support in-clinic labs. You will maintain records, ensure quality checks, and work with clinic staff to deliver efficient patient care.

Required TX NCT license, possibility to obtain BLS within 30 days, and certifications for breath alcohol and drug screening within 3 months. Shifts may vary and involve cross-location support.

• Ability to work across clinic teams and handle in-house lab tasks.

X-Ray Technician

Job Summary And Qualifications

• Perform timely and quality radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
• Perform quality control checks/audits on radiologic equipment.
• Perform drug screens, urinalysis and other in-house lab tests including processing specimens for reference laboratories.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and x-rays sent out to other labs.
• Works closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
• Ensure occupational client’s preference card is followed and occupational procedures are adhered to.
• Performs routine office functions including copying, faxing, scanning, mailing, sorting and filing of patient and clinic materials as appropriate.
• Is cross trained for Front Desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out on computer, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
• May be required to work alternate shifts and may be required to float to other clinic locations. Assist with general patient care when needed.

You Should Have:

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting is beneficial
• NCT - A Non-Certified Technician license in Texas
• The ability to obtain a BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion
• NCT License issued by the Board of Medical Examiners/Texas Department of State Health Services is required
