Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a X-Ray Tech / Rad Tech for a Per Diem role in New York, NY. The technologist will operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs and/or CT images under the supervision of a radiologist and department supervisor, contributing to diagnosis of complex cases.

Candidates should have a NYS Radiologic Technologist License, graduate from an AMA approved School of Radiology, and at least 1 year of experience; ARRT registration is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiology.
• NY State Radiologic Technologist License required.
• ARRT registration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to obtain radiographs or computer-generated images of designated body parts.
• Work under the direction of a radiologist and supervision of a department supervisor.
• Contribute to the diagnostic process by applying X-Ray technology to assist in evaluating rare and complex cases.
