Effinghamschools is seeking a Radiologic (X-Ray) Technologist to perform radiologic testing in accordance with TJC, federal, state, and local guidelines. You will communicate with medical staff, maintain patient confidentiality, and work in a fast-paced, semi-autonomous environment.
Responsibilities include infection control, safety, patient education, coordinating exams, and contributing to discharge planning and documentation.
Description
Under the general direction of the Radiology Manager, the Radiologic (XRay) Technologist will perform radiologic testing/treatment in accordance with TJC, federal, state, and local guidelines, organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Communicates with medical staff, other departments, and outside agencies while maintaining confidentiality. Position requires self-motivation, creativity, and capabilities to function in a semi-autonomous role within a fast pace and dynamic environment.
Minimum Level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion high school, and completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
Formal Training: Completion of Accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
Licensure, Certification, Registration: Must have and maintain a current BLS CPR and current unencumbered membership with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, and be able to satisfy State of Georgia, TJC, and Federal Requirements, or the equivalent thereof.
Work Experience: Six months to one year experience in healthcare radiology is preferred.
