Under the general direction of the Radiology Manager, the CT Technologist will perform CT/ Radiological testing and treatment in accordance with TJC, federal, state, and local guidelines, organizational and departmental policies, and procedures. Communicates with medical staff, other departments, and outside agencies while maintaining confidentiality. The position requires self-motivation, creativity, and capabilities to function in a semi-autonomous role within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Education level equivalent to completion high school, and completion of an accredited radiological technology program.
Completion of Accredited Radiological Technology Program.
Must have and maintain a current BLS CPR and current unencumbered membership with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, and be able to satisfy State of Georgia, TJC, and Federal Requirements, or the equivalent thereof. As of Jan, 1 2008 must be CT registered or supervised by a registered CT technologist.
Six months to one year experience in healthcare CAT scan and radiology is preferred.
