Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking an X-ray Tech/Medical Assistant for our CareNow urgent care clinics in Utah. The role supports patient care with vital tasks, imaging, and documentation, working within a team dedicated to compassionate service.

We offer a total rewards package and an incentive eligible position with a sign-on bonus up to $2,000. Prior experience with EHR and radiology is valued.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in patient care.
• EHR experience is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) required.
• RT or LMRT license required in state of residency.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days.
• Federal Breath Alcohol and Drug screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKG’s, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and updates patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and documenting EHR appropriately.
• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including radiology, in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

As a Technician, you will:

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKG’s, and administering IM injections.

You should have:

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Limited Practical Technologist (LPT / LMRT), license is required in state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
