Job summary

CareNow - Mt Pleasant is seeking a qualified X-Ray Tech – Medical Assistant to support patient care in our Mount Pleasant clinic. You will perform imaging services, collect histories and document in the EHR, and assist with front-desk tasks as needed.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year clinical experience, an accredited MA program graduate, and an RT/LMRT license with BLS. EHR experience is preferred, and eligibility for federal screenings within 3 months is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKGs, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR appropriately.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed, including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on radiology, in-house lab work, drug screens, and laboratory results.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

As a Tech, youwill:

• Radiological Technologist (RT) orLimited Practice Radiographer(LPR / LMRT),license isrequiredin state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification isrequiredwithin30 daysof start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
