Job summary

CareNow is seeking an X-Ray Tech - Medical Assistant to join our urgent care team. The role supports patient care through vital signs, imaging, phlebotomy, EHR documentation, and patient check-in/check-out activities.

A trained Medical Assistant with RT/LPR licensure and BLS is preferred and experience with EHR systems is beneficial. The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Limited Practice Radiographer (LPR/LMRT) license required in state of residency.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect laboratory specimens, perform EKGs, and administer injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services according to provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR appropriately.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records and logs for radiology, in-house lab work, drug screens, and external lab results.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

As a Tech, you will:

• Take vital signs, collectinglab specimens, performingEKG’s, and administeringIM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and updates patient charts accordingly.

• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assistwith check-in/check-out whenneededincluding auditing charts.

You should have:

• Current BLS Certification is required within30 daysof start.
