Job summary

CARENOW - FORUM MSO, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an X-ray Tech / Medical Assistant to join our team in Selma, TX. You will perform imaging services, vital signs, EKGs, injections, and patient chart updates, while supporting front desk tasks as needed.

The role requires 1+ year clinical experience, an accredited MA program, and relevant licenses with BLS and federal screening certifications to be obtained within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting (helpful).
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or approved BOTP program.
• GMRT/LMRT/NCT license required in state of residency.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per provider orders; update patient charts.
• Document patient history in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and chart auditing.
• Maintain records and logs, including in-house and sent-out labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

As a X-ray Tech, you will:

• Takevital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKG’s, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and updates patient charts accordingly.
• Collectpatient history and documenting EHR appropriately.
• You mayapply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assistwith check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintainrecords and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keeppatients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

You should have:

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting ishelpful.

• General Medical Radiology Technician (GMRT), Limited Medical Radiology Technician (LMRT), or Non-Registered Technician (NCT) license is required in state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
