Job summary

Concentra in Lakewood, CO is seeking an X-ray Technician/Medical Support Specialist to perform routine X-ray examinations and support in medical and front-office duties. You will deliver high-quality patient care, assist clinicians, and ensure accurate documentation and safe operation of radiology equipment.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, image acquisition, DOT/Non-DOT testing where applicable, and adherence to HIPAA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of state-approved Limited Scope Technician certificate and licensure, if applicable.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• At least six months of medical assistant experience with medical terminology knowledge.
• At least six months of X-ray experience and familiarity with routine procedures.
• Knowledge of occupational medicine requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform X-ray examinations under supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Prepare patients and assist with positioning and exposure settings.
• Operate radiologic equipment and ensure correct exposure times and distances.
• Maintain radiology equipment, perform QA/QC procedures, and document activities.
• Process and document radiology reports and verify EMR cross-checks.
• Assist with front office duties and patient flow, while following HIPAA and safety guidelines.
