Job summary

Howmet is seeking a full-time X-Ray Tech (Level I) to join our Industrial Gas Turbine group in Hampton, Virginia. Responsibilities include radiographing and inspecting castings and parts for flaws. Qualifications

• Must have 1+ years of related manufacturing or NDT experience/training.
• Candidates must pass a near vision exam utilizing the Tumbling E Chart per ISO 18490.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Responsibilities

• Radiograph and inspect castings, sample parts, and structural members.
• Operate X-Ray and film processing equipment.
• Perform equipment standardization in accordance with work instructions.

Skills

Ability to read, write, and apply basic math

Interpreting various instructions

Internal certification with rectification every five years

Education

High school diploma or GED certificate
