Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Hampton, Virginia, seeks an X-Ray Tech (Level I) to radiograph castings, inspect parts, and ensure quality per customer specs. Shifts include 1st, 2nd, and WE, with a $1 shift premium for off shifts. Candidates must have a HS diploma or GED and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Resume and two professional references required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of related manufacturing and/or NDT experience/training.
• Ability to work all shifts (including weekends); overtime may be required.
• Pass near vision exam per ISO 18490 Tumbling E Chart.

Responsibilities

• Process parts, document results, and perform equipment standardization per work instructions.
• Prepare parts before/after X-Ray inspection per instructions.
• Conduct system performance checks per process standards and customer requirements.
• Advance into Level II certification.
• Receive guidance under Level II/III supervision.
• Operate X-Ray and film processing equipment.
• Maintain attendance and comply with overtime requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
