Job summary

Bayview Physicians Group in Virginia Beach seeks an X-Ray Technologist for our Urgent Care centers in Hampton Roads. You will perform diagnostic radiologic procedures, ensure patient safety, and maintain imaging equipment.

This full-time role requires a Virginia Radiologic Technologist license, CPR, ARRT preferred, and strong communication. Growth opportunities across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Active Virginia Radiologic Technologist license.
• ARRT certification preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures in accordance with physician orders and protocols.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety while following radiation protection guidelines.
• Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot imaging equipment.
• Keep exam rooms stocked and ready for patient care.
• Schedule imaging studies and provide pre-procedure instructions.
• Review prior imaging studies as needed.
• Document all procedures in the medical record.
• Assist patients and staff with imaging-related questions.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuing education.

What You’ll Do

• Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Ensure patient comfort and safety while following radiation protection and safety guidelines
• Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot imaging equipment
• Keep exam rooms stocked, organized, and ready for patient care
• Schedule imaging studies and provide clear pre-procedure instructions to patients
• Obtain and review prior imaging studies from external facilities as needed
• Accurately document all procedures in the medical record
• Answer incoming calls and assist patients and staff with imaging-related questions
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives, compliance activities, and continuing education
• Maintain current CPR certification and required licensure
• Demonstrate reliable attendance, punctuality, and professionalism
• Perform additional duties as assigned by providers or leadership
