Job summary

Bayview Physicians Group in Hampton Roads, VA, is seeking an X-Ray Technologist for our Urgent Care centers. This full-time role focuses on performing diagnostic radiologic procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining imaging equipment.

The position requires a Virginia radiologic technologist license and CPR certification, with ARRT certification preferred. You will join a fast-paced team across multiple locations, with opportunities for professional growth and advancement and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Active Virginia Radiologic Technologist license.
• ARRT certification preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures per physician orders and protocols.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety while following radiation protection guidelines.
• Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot imaging equipment.
• Schedule imaging studies and provide pre-procedure instructions.
• Obtain and review prior imaging studies as needed.
• Document all procedures in the medical record.
• Answer calls and assist patients with imaging questions.
• Participate in quality assurance, compliance, and continuing education.

What You’ll Do

• Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Ensure patient comfort and safety while following radiation protection and safety guidelines
• Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot imaging equipment
• Keep exam rooms stocked, organized, and ready for patient care
• Schedule imaging studies and provide clear pre-procedure instructions to patients
• Obtain and review prior imaging studies from external facilities as needed
• Accurately document all procedures in the medical record
• Answer incoming calls and assist patients and staff with imaging-related questions
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives, compliance activities, and continuing education
• Maintain current CPR certification and required licensure
• Demonstrate reliable attendance, punctuality, and professionalism
• Perform additional duties as assigned by providers or leadership
