Job summary

Bayview Physicians Group in Hampton Roads, VA, is seeking an X-Ray Technologist for our urgent care clinics. You will perform diagnostic radiologic procedures per physician orders, ensure patient safety, and maintain imaging equipment.

The role requires a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, active Virginia radiologic technologist license, CPR certification, and strong communication. ARRT certification preferred; multiple locations offer growth and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Radiologic Technologist license.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
• ARRT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures per physician orders and protocols.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety while following radiation protection guidelines.
• Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot imaging equipment.
• Keep exam rooms stocked, organized, and ready for patient care.
• Schedule imaging studies and provide pre-procedure instructions.
• Review prior imaging studies from external facilities as needed.
• Accurately document procedures in the medical record.
• Answer calls and assist patients and staff with imaging questions.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuing education.
• Maintain current licensure and CPR certification.

What You’ll Do

• Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols


• Ensure patient comfort and safety while following radiation protection and safety guidelines


• Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot imaging equipment


• Keep exam rooms stocked, organized, and ready for patient care


• Schedule imaging studies and provide clear pre-procedure instructions to patients


• Obtain and review prior imaging studies from external facilities as needed


• Accurately document all procedures in the medical record


• Answer incoming calls and assist patients and staff with imaging-related questions


• Participate in quality assurance initiatives, compliance activities, and continuing education


• Maintain current CPR certification and required licensure


• Demonstrate reliable attendance, punctuality, and professionalism


• Perform additional duties as assigned by providers or leadership
