Job summary

Doncasters is seeking an experienced NDT XRAY Level I technician to join our Groton, Connecticut team. You will perform radiographic inspections of investment castings used in aerospace and other high-performance industries, ensuring precision and quality.

This role is 40 hours per week and requires NAS 410 RT/DR or equivalent NDT certification, with emphasis on blueprints and gauge equipment interpretation.

Qualifications

• NDT XRAY Level I certification or NAS 410 RT/DR equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/specifications.
• Experience with radiographic inspection and x-ray film analysis.
• Knowledge of NADCAP and AS9100 standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct radiographic inspections on investment castings.
• Analyse x-ray films and develop inspection techniques for complex geometries.
• Support training initiatives, audits and ensure NADCAP/AS9100 compliance.
• Maintain safety and quality standards in production environments.

The Role

As an X-Ray Level I Technician, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of investment castings used in aerospace and other high-performance industries!

Your responsibilities will include conducting radiographic inspections, analysing x-ray film, and developing techniques for complex casting geometries. You will also support training initiatives, assist with audits and help maintain compliance with NADCAP and AS9100 standards.
