Job summary

MOXTEK is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II in Orem, UT to perform failure analysis on final assembly and test failures of X-ray tubes and high‑voltage power supplies. You will diagnose root causes, recommend corrective actions, and collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to prevent recurrence.

Responsibilities include supporting operators with troubleshooting, documenting procedures and results, and ensuring lab safety and calibration of test equipment.

Qualifications

• Analytical thinking and data correlation are essential.
• Experience with SPC and statistical methods is required.
• Familiarity with electronics or mechanical tech environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform the failure analysis process for final assembly and final test failures of X-ray tubes and power supplies.
• Identify and confirm root causes using structured problem-solving methods (FTA, DOE, 8D).
• Assist and support production operators with troubleshooting and diagnostic testing.
• Provide technical troubleshooting to production supervisor and maintenance team.
• Document test procedures and results to identify systemic issues.
• Support scrap cost-reduction initiatives through process and design improvements.
• Collaborate with maintenance to track and resolve equipment issues.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment and ensure lab safety compliance.
• Document results in standardized company reports.
