Qualifications

• Wyoming radiology license must be active on start date.
• Completion of accredited radiologic technology program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and escort to exam rooms, position body parts for imaging.
• Operate radiologic equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Perform quality control and ensure adherence to ACR/MQSA requirements.
• Apply radiation safety measures to protect patients and staff.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions; handle admin duties like scheduling and EMR data entry.
• Retrieve orders and transcribe data into the EMR.

Job description

X-Ray/CT Tech position in Weston County, WY!

Responsibilities:

• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures.Escorts patients to dressing and exam rooms, provides verbal and/or written instructions, and directs and/or assists patients in positioning body parts to be imaged.Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during exam.
• Operates radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes in accordance with established policy and protocol.
• Completes required QC for equipment and maintains ACR/ MQSA requirements.
• Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Ensures radiologic equipment remains in working order and reports malfunctions to direct supervisor.Opens maintenance tickets with the appropriate vendor when necessary.
• Performs any required administrative duties including scheduling, completing necessary forms, and maintenance and department supply ordering as required.
• Retrieves radiologic orders and transcribes related data into the electronic medical record.

Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent.
• Current ARRT RF(R).
• ARRT (CT) required within 1 year of start date.
• Current Wyoming License upon start date.
• Able to pass and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
