Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital (NCSH) is a private, physician-owned medical center offering surgical specialties and imaging services. The X-Ray Tech will perform MRI, CT, and X-ray procedures, ensuring high-quality images for physicians.

The role requires two years of surgical radiologic experience, active BLS, and ARRT registration or eligibility, with adherence to safety standards and patient care protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum of two (2) years as a technologist in a surgical setting.
• Current BLS certification through an ARC or AHA accredited program.
• Registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or registry eligible to be obtained within 1 year of hire and licensed by the North Carolina State Board of Radiologic Technologists.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients for history and safety information.
• Demonstrates compliance with radiology standards and proper infection control.
• Prepares patients and positions for X-ray procedures.
• Operates X-ray, C-arm fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, Mammography per protocols.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and follows hospital policies.
• Ensures safety and proper handling of equipment and dosimeters.
