Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital in Durham, NC, is seeking an X-Ray Tech to support MRI, CT, diagnostic imaging, and C-arm services under the Chief Nursing Officer's supervision. Responsibilities include patient interviews, safety briefings, equipment cleaning, and adherence to radiation safety policies.

Qualified candidates will have AMA-approved Radiologic Technology training, 2+ years in a surgical setting, BLS and ARRT registration (or eligibility) with NC licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum of two (2) years as a technologist in a surgical setting.
• Current BLS certification through an ARC or AHA accredited program.
• Registration through ARRT or registry-eligible within 1 year and NC licensure.

Responsibilities

• Complete MRI, radiologic CT, Diagnostic Imaging and C-arm imaging to produce quality images.
• Inform patients about safety, contrast media contraindications and procedures.
• Demonstrate compliance with state, federal and accrediting body standards in radiology.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and proper handling of biohazard materials.
• Ensure radiation safety and proper documentation of exposure.
