Job summary

Adventist Health Sonora is seeking a Radiology Technologist with competency across multiple imaging modalities including CT, MRI and ultrasound. The role supports departmental goals and delivers high-quality imaging services in a community hospital setting.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate’s Degree in radiologic technology with CPR/BLS certification, ARRT credentials, and state licensure. At least three years of technical experience and willingness to work variable shifts are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in radiologic technology required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred (some certifications may require Bachelor’s).
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Three years’ technical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic, mammographic, CT, and ultrasound examinations as per department standards.
• Operates x-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment.
• Ensures safety and quality by following procedures, preparing contrast agents, and testing equipment.
• Transports patients safely between devices and rooms.
• Maintains certifications and meets AH policy requirements.

Job Summary

Responsible for the operation of x-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment. Assists in accomplishing departmental objectives and goals. Helps create an environment that enables the medical imaging department to meet operational goals. Performs at least three of the modalities listed on a regular basis.

Essential Functions

Performs various radiographic, mammographic, computed tomography and/or ultrasound examinations consistent with employee‘s experience. Performs three modalities competently.Safely transports and transfers patients between gurneys and wheelchairs. Tests defibrillator and checks the integrity of crash cart. Performs mobile imaging examinations as necessary.Safely prepares contrast agents for Medical Imaging procedures.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
