Job summary

Adventist Health in Turlock, CA is seeking a Multi-Modality Specialist for CT and X-Ray on the night shift. This role supports imaging services across CT, X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and mammography to help meet department goals.

The successful candidate will perform three modalities regularly, ensure patient safety during transports, and prepare contrast agents as needed. ARRT certification, RT license, and BLS/CPR are required, with modality certificates highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in radiologic technology is required.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's) is preferred.
• Master's Degree is preferred.
• ARRT certification is required; RT licensure and modality certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic, mammographic, CT and/or ultrasound examinations as per experience. Performs three modalities regularly.
• Safely transports and transfers patients; tests defibrillator and crash cart; performs mobile imaging as needed.
• Safely prepares contrast agents for imaging procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Responsible for the operation of x-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment. Assists in accomplishing departmental objectives and goals. Helps create an environment that enables the medical imaging department to meet operational goals. Performs at least three of the modalities listed on a regular basis.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• Associate's Degree in radiologic technology: Required
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Preferred
• Master's Degree: Preferred
• Three years' technical experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification: Required
• Must have a current certification in one of the modalities and able to perform duties in at least one other advanced modality: Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography(M), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine (NM), Sonography(S) or Positron Emission Tomography (PET): Required
• ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R): Required

Essential Functions

• Performs various radiographic, mammographic, computed tomography and/or ultrasound examinations consistent with employee's experience. Performs three modalities competently.
• Safely transports and transfers patients between gurneys and wheelchairs. Tests defibrillator and checks the integrity of crash cart. Performs mobile imaging examinations as necessary.
• Safely prepares contrast agents for Medical Imaging procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
