Job summary

St. Joseph Hospital, part of Catholic Health on Long Island, seeks a Radiologic Technologist specializing in CT to perform CT procedures and ensure high-quality images while maintaining patient safety and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration and NYS DOH Radiology license; contrast injection certification.

• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of clinical and research procedures with independent judgment.
• Produces and evaluates CT images with proper patient identification and protocol adherence.
• Oversees delivery and documentation of contrast media.
• Adheres to hospital and regulatory policies and procedures.

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of clinical and research procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and imitative.
• The technologists will produce and evaluate CT images for technical quality, properly identifies images and patient and effectively uses judgment for protocols and procedures.
• Medication oversight which includes documentation of delivery of contrast media.
• Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures and JCAHO/regulatory agency requirements.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be a graduate of an accredited two-year program in radiologic technology
• ARRT registration and NYS DOH Radiology license required; certified to inject contrast
• Knowledge and working experience in Computerized Axid Tomography preferred
• BLS required ( American Heart Association) No online programs from any organization will be accepted.

Posted Salary Range

USD $39.86 – USD $49.02 /Hr.
