Job summary

Allied Universal offers a Security Officer X Ray Baggage Examiner position in Indianapolis, IN. The role is full-time with a shift pattern of 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, at a rate of $17.22 per hour.

The job focuses on customer service, screening, and incident response at a logistics and distribution site. Responsibilities include monitoring entry points, screening personnel and belongings, and adhering to safety and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and property per access-control rules.
• Monitor entry points, screening equipment, and restricted areas; report irregularities and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies following procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols; document observations and complete reports.
