Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) at the Kiawah Partners Pavilion ER is expanding imaging services and seeking a skilled Multi-modality Technologist. You will perform diagnostic imaging across X-ray and CT in a state-of-the-art facility, delivering safe, high-quality exams and compassionate patient care.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited radiologic technology degree, 2+ years in diagnostic imaging/CT (emergency/pediatric/orthopedic experience preferred), ARRT (R) and ARRT

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Minimum 2 years of diagnostic imaging & CT experience; emergency, pediatric, and orthopedic exams preferred.
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (C) registration; SCRQSA registration.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-modality imaging across X-ray and CT.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure competence.
• Produce images suitable for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists to ensure high-quality results.

Job Description

Multi-modality technologist provides quality imaging and patient care within X-ray and CT. Technologist must be able to effectively explain the procedures to the patient and be sure they are competent in the procedure being performed. Technologist must produce images for the interpretation, and or request of, a licensed practitioner.

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.

Experience: Required 2 years minimum experience in diagnostic imaging & CT. Preferred experience in emergency, pediatric, and orthopedic exams in both modalities. Must be able to produce very high‑quality special imaging with little supervision. Must be able to function effectively in a team‑oriented environment. Must be familiar with age specific criteria.

Required Registration/Certification

• Must be registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) & South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA).
  Must be registered in both Radiography (ARRT) (R) & Computed Tomography (ARRT) (C)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
