MUSC Health Emergency – Kiawah Partners Pavilion seeks a skilled Multi-Modality Technologist to perform X-ray and CT procedures, ensuring safe, high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient communication, and adherence to age-specific criteria in a state-of-the-art Kiawah Pavilion ER.

Ideal candidates have a radiologic technology degree, 2+ years in diagnostic imaging and CT, ARRT/SCRQSA registration, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in diagnostic imaging and CT.
• ARRT and SCRQSA eligibility/registration required; radiography (R) and CT (C).
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC recognized).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures across X-ray and CT modalities.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure their competency and comfort.
• Produce high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and fellow radiology staff in a team-oriented environment.
• Follow age-specific criteria and maintain safety and quality standards.

Technologist must be able to effectively explain the procedures to the patient and be sure they are competent in the procedure being performed. Technologist must produce images for the interpretation, and or request of, a licensed practitioner. Additional Job Description Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Experience: Required 2 years minimum experience in diagnostic imaging & CT. Preferred experience in emergency, pediatric, and orthopedic exams in both modalities. Must be able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision. Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment. Must be familiar with age specific criteria. Required Registration/Certification

• Must be registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) & South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA). Must be registered in both Radiography (ARRT) (R) & Computed Tomography (ARRT) (C)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
