Job summary

The Westminster Foundation of West Virginia seeks a WVU campus minister to lead Presbyterian campus ministry, oversee PSF, and build relationships with students, university officials, and local churches. The role includes leadership of the Campus Ministry Center and Harless Center programs.

The successful candidate will coordinate weekly programming, manage staff/interns, and support fundraising and donor development, including Lilly Endowment and Sustainability grants, while fostering

Qualifications

• Ordination or readiness to receive a call in the PC(USA).
• Ph.D. preferred but not required.
• 2–5 years campus ministry experience.
• Strong administrative skills.
• Ability to engage with students, university, and local congregations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities, maintenance, scheduling, programming, interns/staff, budgeting, and assist the Board with fundraising and marketing for the Campus Ministry Center.
• Lead the Presbyterian Student Fellowship group and maintain relationships with First Presbyterian Morgantown and local congregations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with WVU through student/faculty/staff engagement and participate in committees as needed.
• Coordinate events for students with First Presbyterian Morgantown and solicit WVU student contacts; prepare annual reports to Synod, Presbytery, Westminster Foundation of WV and funders.
• Oversee Lilly Endowment Grant and Sustainability grant implementations including retreats, Faith and Life speakers, internships, and ministry teams.
• Continue education and networking with campus ministry colleagues; collaborate with Marshall campus minister for curriculum and opportunities.
