Job summary

Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a HITH Physiotherapist to deliver high-quality, patient-centred physiotherapy in community settings. You will work within Cumberland Hospital's HITH service, providing care at home for patients with complex needs, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers part-time, temporary employment, 20 hours per week, with a focus on clinical expertise growth and mentoring within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Eligible: Degree or Diploma recognized by Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
• Must hold current registration with Physiotherapy Australia/AHPRA.

Position Classification: Physiotherapist Level 1 / 2

Remuneration: $40.05 - $57.14 per hour

Hours Per Week: 20 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

You’ll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on achieving positive patient outcomes while supporting people to receive care closer to home.

What You'll Be Doing

As a HITH Physiotherapist, you will provide high-quality, evidence-informed physiotherapy to patients with a range of clinical needs. You’ll use your professional judgement to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in partnership with patients, families, carers and the multidisciplinary team.

• Assess patients and develop, implement and evaluate individualised physiotherapy care plans
• Provide physiotherapy interventions for patients with complex care needs using advanced clinical knowledge and skills
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary HITH team to achieve positive patient outcomes
• Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and education to staff and students
• Contribute to quality improvement, service planning, data collection and ongoing development of HITH services

Essential Criteria

• Qualification: Degree or Diploma recognised by Physiotherapy Board of Australia
• Registration: Physiotherapy Australia / AHPRA

Selection Criteria

• Current Registration with AHPRA - Physiotherapy Australia
• Current NSW Driver Licence
• Demonstrated skill, with minimal supervision, in patient assessment, planning and evaluation of interventions, from a physiotherapy perspective, for adult clients in a community setting, or willingness to learn
• Demonstrated ability with patient assessment, planning and goal setting and evaluation of Physiotherapy interventions
• Significant post graduate experience with adult clients including experience with patients with respiratory and orthopaedic conditions
• Demonstrated ability to use initiative and manage complex client issues and problem-solving, with the formulation and implementation of care plans, and monitoring of patient outcomes
• Highly developed written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, coaching and facilitation skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, clients and carers
• Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail.
