Job summary

St. Charles Community College is seeking an Academic & Success Coach who will provide individualized academic coaching in Writing and related subjects, while serving as a mentor and navigator for SCC students.

The role focuses on helping students build study skills, time management, and organizational strategies, and on connecting them with campus resources. A bachelor’s degree is required, with a master’s preferred, and at least three years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred in relevant fields.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in academic coaching, tutoring, teaching, or job training.
• Experience navigating campus resources and supporting diverse student needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized academic coaching in Writing and related subjects.
• Serve as campus mentor/navigator for SCC students.
• Help students develop learning strategies, study skills, time management, and organization.
• Assist students in identifying strengths, goals, and paths to success.
• Support outreach to at-risk students and connect with campus resources.
• Develop and distribute supplemental materials and monitor progress.
