The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Writing Peer Tutor for the Blue Ridge campus. The purpose of writing tutoring is to assist fellow students with the mastery of concepts or applications of writing. Writing Peer Tutors integrate effective study and learning strategies, thereby maximizing each student's potential to become an independent learner and achieve academic success. As employees of the University, Writing Peer Tutors are expected to maintain ongoing communication with their supervisors. Writing Peer Tutors are also expected to be knowledgeable of and refer students to other appropriate college resources as needed. Tutoring primarily takes place in the Blue Ridge campus Writing Center, with possible online tutoring duties as needed.
