Job summary

Clarkson College seeks a writing lab consultant to help students improve academic writing, lead workshops and graduate school webinars, and participate in research efforts. This adjunct on-campus position supports the Writing Lab's online presence and resources.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of tutoring or teaching experience, a master's degree in English or a related field, and strong communication and presentation skills. Experience with Zoom and Google Docs is a plus.

This position is considered an adjunct faculty position and is an on-campus position.Required Qualifications:Minimum one year previous tutoring and/or teaching experience required.Master's degree in English or related field required.Strong communication and presentation skills required.Ability to maintain confidentiality required.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint or other presentation software required.Familiarity with online communication platforms (e.g. Zoom, googledocs) required.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in writing center or writing instruction preferred.Working at Clarkson College means making a commitment to teaching and developing future health care leaders.
