The Workship – Writing Center Tutor position in Instructional Support Services is responsible for tutoring Troy University students in writing improvement. Minimum qualifications include being a current Troy University student enrolled at least half-time, maintaining a 3.0+ GPA, completing English coursework with B or higher, and having strong writing skills as shown in the application essay.

The role requires good interpersonal communication and a willingness to promote Learning Center services

Qualifications

• Current Troy University student enrolled at least half-time
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Completion of English 1101/1102 or 1103/1104 with a B or higher
• One recommendation from English faculty
• Good interpersonal communication skills
• Commitment to the goals of the Writing Center
• Excellent writing skills evidenced in application essay
• Willingness to promote Learning Center services, events and activities
