Job summary

Southern Utah University is seeking a writing center tutor to support students at all stages of the writing process. The role also involves receptionist duties when needed and collaborating with fellow tutors on activities and projects.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong communication abilities, the capacity to mentor diverse writing styles, and have completed English 1010 and 2010 with solid GPAs. A positive recommendation from two SUU professors is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (including writing and speaking).
• Ability to mentor a variety of writing styles from various disciplines.
• Completion of English 1010 and English 2010, preferably with a grade of A or A-.
• 3.0 overall GPA required
• Strong recommendation from at least two SUU professors.
