VERSANT Media is seeking a Writing Associate Producer for MS NOW in New York. You will research, write and produce daily segments, and craft on-screen content for MS NOW's programming and digital platforms.

The role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 2 years in journalism, with strong writing and reporting skills and a solid grasp of American politics and global news. This is a full-time position in NYC with standard benefits.

MS NOW is looking for an experienced Writing Associate Producer for The Assignment with Antonia Hylton.

This position is represented by the Writers Guild of America East.

Responsibilities:

• Research,reportand write daily segments.
• Determinevideo and sound for assigned segments.
• Communicate daily story development with seniorproducer.
• Pitch story ideas.
• Research, write and edit MS NOW's lower-third banner chyrons, the "front page" of MS NOW's coverage.
• Produce other vital on-screen content for MS NOW's programming.
• Work on content for digital platforms, social media and MS NOW's DTC products
• Must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in some form of journalismrequired(i.e.cable or network news, website, newspaper).
• Strong writing skills and knowledge of American politics, Americanhistoryand global news.
• Strong research and reporting skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• Possess ability to develop story ideas,researchand plan segments.
• Ability to "book" guests, and work with graphics and video elements.
• Exceptional editorial skills: Ability to recognize stories with high potential for provocative, compelling television.
• Knowledge of current events,politicsand pop culture.
• Wide-rangereaderof news, including op-eds.
• Candidateshould be able to deal with daily script deadline pressure.

Additional JobRequirements:

• Mustbe willing to work in New York, NY.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news.
