West Lincoln High School in Lincolnton, NC is seeking a Wrestling JV Head Coach for the West Lincoln High School program. The position begins with the upcoming wrestling season and requires leadership in planning, implementing, and administering the sport while upholding high standards for student athletes and school community relations.

The role requires at least 21 years old, a high school diploma or GED, and, ideally, prior coaching experience.

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years old and have HS Diploma or GED.
Coaching experience preferred.
Coaches (volunteer or paid) must complete NFHS courses; CPR certification required for paid coaches.
Must complete HR onboarding policies, HR screening (drug test and background check) and have health physical and TB test before approved to work with student athletes.

Responsibilities

Provides leadership in planning, developing and implementing an instructional program in wrestling.
Administers the wrestling program and maintains professional work habits.
Fosters a climate conducive to learning and establishes improvement processes for the sport.
Maintains relationships with participants, parents, school staff and community; ensures conduct during games and practices.
Cooperates with Principal and Athletic Director; may need CDL license to drive activity bus; performs other duties as assigned.
