Johnson Controls in San Antonio, TX is seeking a detail-oriented Wrapper for the 2nd Shift to prepare commercial air handling units for shipment. You will ensure units are clean, secure, and properly packaged for delivery, working with cross-functional teams to meet tight timelines.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork, with on-the-job training and a strong focus on quality. Requires a high school diploma or GED and forklift license, with the potential to obtain certification

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma/GED and previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Forklift license (or ability to obtain within 3 months)
• Strong attention to detail and a team-first attitude

Responsibilities

• Clean and prep units for wrapping or painting
• Place units on skids and secure them using shrink wrap, banding, and tape
• Ability to operate overhead cranes to move units and materials
• Coordinate with assembly, electrical, and shipping teams to prioritize tasks
• Apply rust preventative spray and prep units for paint as needed
• Use hand tools like heat guns, nail guns, and saws to complete packaging
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE

Hourly Hiring Range

$16-18 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
