Job summary

KP Staffing is recruiting Mechanical Assembly Technicians for a leading water treatment equipment manufacturer in Fort Worth. You will assemble, install, and test electrical/plumbing systems per schematics to meet quality and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in mechanical, electrical, or related assembly, strong carpentry and wiring skills, and are able to work a Monday–Friday first shift with consistent attendance. Steel-toed boots and PPE required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in mechanical/electrical assembly or related technical field.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and assembly drawings.
  • Experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing environment.
  • Steel-toed boots and PPE compliance required.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components from drawings and work instructions.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Install electrical components including switches, breakers, transformers, and sensors.
  • Route and terminate high- and low-voltage wiring.
  • Assemble PVC, CPVC, and stainless-steel piping.
  • Measure, cut, join, and secure piping with fittings.
  • Inspect assemblies for fit, alignment, and leaks.
  • Perform electrical testing and troubleshooting.
  • Verify work meets quality standards and specifications.
  • Document test results and report defects or non-conformances.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KP Staffing is now hiring Mechanical Assembly Technicians for a leading water treatment manufacturing company in Fort Worth!

Job Summary

As a mechanical assembly technician, you will assemble, install, and test electrical and plumbing systems for commercial and industrial water treatment equipment. You'll work from electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and work instructions to ensure products meet quality, safety, and performance standards. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience with electrical and plumbing assembly.

Schedule and Pay Rate

1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 A.M. - 2:30 P.M.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience

Overtime may be required based on business needs. Advance notice will be provided whenever possible.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components using engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Install electrical components, including switches, breakers, transformers, and sensors
  • Pull, route, and terminate high- and low-voltage wiring
  • Assemble PVC, CPVC, and stainless-steel piping systems
  • Measure, cut, join, and secure piping using proper fittings and techniques
  • Inspect completed assemblies for proper fit, alignment, and leaks
  • Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and functional testing
  • Verify completed work meets quality standards and specifications
  • Document test results and report any defects or non-conformances
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, plumbing, or a related technical field
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and assembly drawings
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools
  • Knowledge of commercial plumbing and electrical layouts
  • Communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Dependable with excellent attention to detail
  • Must successfully complete background screening and any required pre-employment testing
  • Steel-toed boots required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to move throughout a manufacturing facility
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses
