Job summary

Samaritan Health Services in Oregon is seeking a Wound Care Nurse to provide treatment based on an established plan of care for patients with wounds, ostomies, incontinence, or skin breakdown. You will serve as a resource to patients and nursing staff and collaborate with the WOCN to adjust the plan of care as needed.

The role requires current unencumbered Oregon RN licensure and Healthcare Provider BLS; BSN and wound-care certification are preferred.

  • Provides treatment based upon established plan of care for patients with wounds, fistulas, percutaneous tubes, ostomies, incontinence, and actual or potential skin breakdown. Serves as a resource and consultant to patients and nursing staff. Performs assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care provided.   • Samaritan Wound Care treats acute or chronic wounds caused by diabetes, surgery, injury, poor blood flow and/or other problems. The scope of practice is physician driven and centered around wound, ostomy and continence care while maintaining additional adjunctive therapies such as vein medicine and hyperbaric medicine.

  EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
  
  
  
  • Current unencumbered Oregon RN licensure required.
