Job summary

Samaritan Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse in Wound Care to provide treatment per established plans for wounds, ostomies, and related conditions. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while collaborating with WOCN and nursing staff to optimize outcomes.

The role requires Oregon RN licensure, BLS, and experience in acute care; BSN and wound care certification are preferred. This position is based in our wound care department and involves direct patient care.

• Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.
• BSN preferred.

  • Provides treatment based upon established plan of care for patients with wounds, fistulas, percutaneous tubes, ostomies, incontinence, and actual or potential skin breakdown. Serves as a resource and consultant to patients and nursing staff. Performs assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care provided. Collaborates with WOCN to implement changes in the plan of care.

  • Samaritan Wound Care treats acute or chronic wounds caused by diabetes, surgery, injury, poor blood flow and/or other problems. The scope of practice is physician driven and centered around wound, ostomy and continence care while maintaining additional adjunctive therapies such as vein medicine and hyperbaric medicine.
  
  
  
  


• EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
