Job summary

The Springs of Broadway in West Memphis, AR is seeking a Wound Care/Treatment Nurse to join our team. RN preferred with LTC experience and wound care expertise to prevent and treat skin disorders in residents.

Administer and document treatments, educate staff and residents, and collaborate with nursing leadership to optimize dermatological care. LPN with wound care certs may apply; full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• RN preferred with LTC wound care experience.
• Wound care experience required.
• LPN wound care certification acceptable if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document treatments to residents.
• Educate team members and residents on wound prevention and nutrition.
• Assess residents for reactions to medications and treatments.
• Communicate resident status to other nurses and physicians.
• Confer with DON regarding dermatological disorders.
• Develop and implement skin care treatment plans.

The Springs of Broadway is looking for a Wound Care/Treatment Nurse to join our team.

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing, the Treatment Nurse is responsible for the skin care to residents under the medical direction and supervision of the residents' attending physicians, or the Medical Director of the facility, with an emphasis on treatment and therapy of skin disorders.

We are looking for a diligent TEAM PLAYER to add their vast skills and knowledge about wound care and treatments to our amazing team.

Our treatment nurse provides care to our residents suffering from various health issues. Preventing wounds as well as treating them. Educating team members and patients on wound prevention and great nutrition to help prevent and heal wounds.

RN preferred, LTC experience required, Wound Care experience required

If an LPN - wound care certification is required

Administer and document treatments

Communicate the status of the residents to other nurses and doctors

Assess resident reaction to medications and treatments

Confer with the DON and/or other licensed personnel regarding dermatological disorders of the residents

Plan, develop skin care treatments to ber performed

Initiate requests for consults, referrals as needed.
