Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking a Wound and Skin Clinician to provide expert wound, ostomy, and incontinence care across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will lead wound care practices, educate patients and families, and collaborate with surgeons and infection prevention to optimize outcomes.

The role requires RN licensure in Maryland, a bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of three years of relevant experience. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a structured schedule.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Bachelor prepared) and licensed in Maryland.
• Masters degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years adult nursing experience including wound/ostomy/incontinence care.
• Active certification in wound specialty (preferred).
• CPR/BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee wound care to assist in management of acute and chronic wounds.
• Educate patients on wound care, infection prevention, and injury prevention.
• Provide and interpret evidence-based tools for staff nurses for decision support.
• Educate on ostomy care including pouching systems and stoma care.
• Treat stomal and peristomal skin complications.
• Collaborate with surgeons, infection prevention, and other team members.
• Complete EMR documentation for WOC consultations and evaluations.
• Support both inpatient and outpatient care and participate in quality initiatives.
