Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a clinician to assess, evaluate, and treat patients with wounds, ostomy care, fistulae, tubes, skin and continence issues. Collaboration with physicians, nursing staff and ancillary staff is essential to plan and deliver effective patient care.

The role requires licensure as RN, PT, or OT in Georgia, BCLS, and CEU maintenance; experience in wound/ostomy care is preferred. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and education will emphasize interdisciplinary care.

Qualifications

• Education from an accredited program in nursing, physical therapy, or occupational therapy.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical wound/ostomy care experience preferred.
• BCLS certification required; GA licensure for RN/PT/OT as applicable.
• CEU maintenance required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate, and treat patients with acute/chronic wounds, ostomy management, and related issues.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to plan and perform patient assessments and treatments.
• Support education for patients on wound care, ostomy care, skin, fistulae, and continence management.

Education

accredited school in Nursing, Physical Therapy, or Occupational Therapy

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

2 years of clinical experience in wound/ostomy care

2 years of clinical experience Preferred

BCLS - Basic Life Support Required

RN - Registered Nurse Georgia Licensure

PT - Physical Therapist Georgia Licensure

OT - Occupational Therapist Georgia Licensure

CEU maintenance as required by state

CWS - Certified Wound Specialist

CWOCN - Certified Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse Preferred
